The Greater Accra Rugby Association (GARA) appointed two new Board Members at their Board Meeting held in Accra on 10 July 2017.
The Board Meetings was held for the purpose of ratifying GRFU AGM decisions that was taken at on 17 June 2017. These included:
– Ratification of the 2017/18 GRCC Rules as approved by the GRFU AGM
– Ratification of the approved new GRFU Constitution
– Notice of resolutions passed at the 2017 GRFU AGM
The GARA Board also approved a GARA Regulation on the Membership of GARA.
These decisions were taken prior to a GARA AGM that is scheduled for 5 August 2017 where the GARA Members will be asked to also ratify the same GRFU AGM decisions.
As part of the meeting two new Board Members, Mr Steve Noi who is also a Director of the GRFU and Abdul Nasir Meizongo, were also appointed to the Board. Meizongo will also take over the role of General Secretary of GARA in the place of Kukua Aggrey who stepped down due to work commitments.
According to the President of GARA, Abdul-Aziz Issah, the addition of Steve and Abdul Nasir is welcomed by the GARA Board who is convinced that the two will add tremendous value to the overall management of GARA.
